Danielle Robinson

i'm Danielle, a UK-based freelance camera operator with a background in live sports broadcasting and outside broadcast production. Most of my professional experience has been in equestrian sport, working with long-lens and roaming camera systems on live, multi-camera productions. While live sport has given me a strong technical foundation, I'm keen to broaden my experience across film and documentary . I'm particularly drawn to natural history and stories about people, wildlife and the places they inhabit. A trip to Kenya earlier this year really strengthened that ambition. I fell in love with the country, its landscapes, wildlife and the people I met along the way. It made me realise that I wanted to do more with a camera than simply capture what was happening in front of me. I want to help tell stories that mean something and bring audiences closer to people and places they might never otherwise experience. I know documentary filmmaking involves a different set of skills, and I'm keen to learn. I'm equally happy working as a camera operator on productions that suit my existing experience or taking on camera assistant and technical support roles to develop in new areas. I'm based
