Katy Ward

Hi! I'm currently on the hunt for my first film job after studying a BA (hons) in Film Production at The University of Salford in Media City. I have spent my time learning production skills, and specifically training in the following areas: Cinematography, Lighting, Shooting on Film, Loading 16mm, Editing and Colour grading. My favourite films are: A Promising Young Woman, Dune (part one - sorry, I prefer it over two), LADY BIRD, Sinners (obviously), Project Hail Mary!!! Hello?! I don't care what anyone says, that film is amazing. The practical effects!?!, and I've always loved the Harry Potter franchise and Maze Runner. Also, I love Denis Villeneuve, Chloe Zhao (I'm in awe of her - I'm also neurodivergent), Greta Gerwig, and Autumn Durald Arkapaw OBVIOUSLY. I grew up making stop-motion films with LEGO and YouTube videos, then moved into short films, music videos, and more now. Hopefully you enjoyed my ramble about myself, and hopefully we'll meet in future!!
