Natalia Gaxiola

I’m a Mexican filmmaker based in London, recently completing my MA at London Film School. Before filmmaking, I spent two years in medical school in Mexico City, training to become a surgeon, until I discovered Fellini and cinema changed the course of my life. I’ve always been drawn to the arts, whether through music, literature, photography or painting, but cinema has always felt like the place where they all come together. I’m endlessly curious about people, their stories and contradictions. For me, filmmaking is as much about the people you meet and work with as it is about the stories you tell.
