Ryan Harewood

I’m a Black British screenwriter from Ipswich, now based in London, focused primarily on character-led comedy and comedy-drama, often exploring social mobility, family, identity and ambition. After fifteen years at Goldman Sachs, supporting the Executive Office and as a divisional chief of staff, I left to pursue a far more stable and secure career as an emerging screenwriter in film and TV… Since then, I’ve gained HETV production experience on Pride & Prejudice for Netflix, trained in screenwriting, producing and script reading with John Yorke Story, NFTS and The Script Factory, won Best Short Screenplay at the Liverpool Indie Awards. Currently, I’m working on a music-based feature through Script Angel’s writer development programme, while also developing and collaborating on a number of scripted comedy and drama projects.
