If U Leave Me is an original song by talented artist Leonie Biney. She entrusted myself as director, with a small crew to collaborate conceptually and shoot this lyric video within a couple of months.

The scorecard

A handmade, craft-collage lyric video for an original song, built from fridge magnets and polaroids rather than performance.

3.3of 5
  • Storynot read

Not read: no transcript and the synopsis describes only a production arrangement, with no want, turn or ending given.

  • Picturestrong

The fridge-magnet tableau and close-up stop-motion of lyric cards have a clear, warm visual idea that carries the song without needing faces.

  • Wordsgetting there

Lyrics seen are plain ('oh so scared', 'what I'd do if you leave'), functional for a lyric video but not distinct as writing on their own.

  • Worldstrong

The crafted fridge-door world, hand-made magnets, polaroids and watercolour cards, builds a specific, lived-in domestic scrapbook feel at low cost.

  • Voiceworks

The choice to treat a lyric video as a physical collage rather than typography on screen is a genuine, personal device, even if the frames alone can't show how sustained it is.

I read the synopsis and the four published frames; there is no caption transcript, so the full lyric sequence, any vocal performance and the overall edit and pacing were not seen. Read 2 November 2026. How the scorecard works
