The prizes on offer
Win a laurel for your picture.
Photo of the Month goes to the picture members vote for most. It costs nothing to enter: put a picture up and it is in the running every month until it wins. The winner gets:
- A gold laurel with your picture’s name and the month on it, for the picture itself, your portfolio and your posts.
- A winner’s card to share: your picture, your name and the month, made to post anywhere.
- The top of this page: your picture, big, with your name on it, until the next winner is picked.
- A badge for good: Photo of the Month, on your picture here on the wall and on its own page.
- Your name on the Community’s front page as the latest winner.

How it works
Three steps to a laurel.
- Put your picture up. A still from a film you made, or a picture from behind the scenes, with a caption, the photographer’s name and the film it came from.
- Members vote. Every member has one vote a month, for any picture but their own, and can move it until the month ends.
- The 1st of the month, a winner. The picture with the most votes that month is Photo of the Month, with its laurel and its card.
- Your name on it. Every picture carries the photographer’s name and, when it has one, the film it came from.
- Yours to show. Putting a picture up, you confirm you have the right to show it and the people in it agreed.
- In the running every month. A picture on the wall can win any month it has the most votes. Each picture can win once.
- A tie goes to the one up longest. If two pictures are level when the month ends, the one that has been on the wall longer takes it.
- Your vote is yours. Counts are shown; who voted for what never is.
- Yours to take down. Take any picture of yours off the wall from its own page, whenever you like.
