- The scorecard, half. Every film gets a score out of 5 for its story, picture, words, world and voice.
- Members’ votes, three tenths. The month’s votes, against the most any film in the running has.
- Watching, two tenths. How many people watch it here, each counted once, and far more for the ones who watch it to the end.
- Two months in the running. A film is in with a chance in the month it is shown and the month after, and it can win once.
